Privacy Policy
Last updated 1 November 2026
Farsight (farsight.fi) is an independent analytics site for Polymarket. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, who processes it for us and what you can do about it. Farsight is not affiliated with Polymarket.
1. What we collect
- Your account. When you sign in, our sign-in provider Magic verifies your email address, or your Google account if you choose to sign in with Google. We keep your email address, the identifier Magic gives us for you, and when your account was created and last used.
- Sign-in sessions. A cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. We store only a hashed copy of it, together with your browser's user agent.
- What you save. The traders you star, the traders you track and your alert settings, your private notes on traders, your preferences such as your time zone, and the Polymarket wallets you link to your account. You show a wallet is yours by placing a short code in its Polymarket profile.
- Alerts. For the traders you track, we keep a history of the trade alerts sent to you for 14 days.
- Likes, dislikes and reactions on profiles. These are tied to a random identifier stored in your browser, a coarse device fingerprint and a salted hash of your network, used only to stop duplicate and automated votes. We do not store your IP address with them.
- Usage. We use Google Analytics to count visits and clicks, with advertising features and Google signals turned off. Our servers see your IP address when you visit and hold it briefly in memory to limit abuse. We do not write it to our database.
- Kept in your browser only. Many preferences, such as your theme, layouts, saved markets, alert sounds and recent searches, are stored in your browser's local storage and are never sent to us.
2. Public data shown on the site
Farsight shows information that is already public: Polymarket profiles (names, pictures and linked X accounts), trades, positions, comments and activity on the Polygon blockchain, as well as public news articles and posts on X. It comes from Polymarket's public services, the blockchain and other public sources. If you use Polymarket, your public activity may appear on Farsight whether or not you have an account here. We cannot change what is recorded on a blockchain, but you can contact us to have anything we show about you reviewed.
3. How we use it
- To run the site and your account, keep you signed in and send the alerts you ask for.
- To keep the site secure and stop abuse and automated access.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Cookies
- A session cookie, to keep you signed in.
- Google Analytics cookies, to count visits.
- Cookies Cloudflare sets for security.
You can block cookies in your browser. Signing in needs the session cookie.
5. How long we keep it
- Your account, saved traders, notes, alert settings, linked wallets and settings: until you delete them, or delete your account in Settings, which removes all of them at once.
- Backup copies of our database are kept for a few days before they are replaced, so a deleted account disappears from them shortly after.
- Sign-in sessions: 30 days, or until you sign out.
- Alert history: 14 days.
- Likes, dislikes and reactions: for as long as they are counted on the profile.
- Analytics: up to 14 months.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, for example under the GDPR in the European Union and the United Kingdom, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to how we use it. You can delete your account yourself at any time: Settings, then Delete account. For anything else, email us and we will reply within 30 days.
7. Children
Farsight is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we say so on the site.
9. Contact
